Valve clearance measured and verified within factory spec. Cam covers reinstalled with new gaskets. Oil and coolant services complete. PCCB brake fluid flushed and bled. Currently awaiting front-end PPF installation (scheduled Monday, April 20). Post-PPF paint correction and ceramic top-up scheduled Tuesday-Wednesday.

Replace rear shock damper cartridges

During suspension service we measured both rear KW Clubsport cartridges showing 18% damping loss — within the normal wear window for 8,200 track-use miles, but at the edge. Recommending replacement rather than rebuild given upcoming track season. Includes new spherical bearings and re-corner-weight on our setup scales.

Front PPF upgrade — add inner fender liner coverage

Original PPF package covered hood, bumper, mirror caps, and front fender leading edges. Given the track-use profile of this car, we'd recommend extending PPF to the inner fender liner areas where gravel strikes accumulate. Uses XPEL Ultimate Plus to match original application. Warranty matches the original PPF package through December 2030.

Morning David. Valve clearance check complete — all 24 within factory spec, three shims replaced on the intake side. Cam covers back on with new OEM gaskets. We're on schedule. Photos uploading to your portal this afternoon.

Appreciate the update. Any concerns on the shocks you were going to measure?
RH
Rick Halloran · Apr 9, 4:08 PM
Yes — just finished dyno-testing them. 18% damping loss on both rears, which is the edge of our replacement threshold. Given your COTA trip in August, I'd recommend the swap now rather than rebuild. Approval request in your portal — $3,840, same KW Clubsport OEM, adds one day to timeline. Your call.

Also — while we had wheels off, Marco noticed stone-strike wear inside the fender arches on the PPF edges. Nothing structural, but suggests we extend PPF coverage. Second approval in your portal. Entirely optional, can wait until next visit if you prefer.

Will review both approvals this weekend. Any chance we can get the car back by the 22nd? Reservation at the Breakers that weekend.

The 22nd is doable if you approve both today. We'd run PPF parallel to paint correction and pull Sunday QC forward to Saturday. Marco and I can cover the weekend. Let me know.
