Carbon-monocoque machines. Track-bred engineering.
McLaren and Pagani service, led by Dr. Elena Ruiz — the only technician in Palm Beach County currently holding McLaren Special Operations certification. Carbon-composite work, monocoque inspection, hypercar diagnostics. When a car lives above $500,000, it ends up on Elena's bench.
Hypercars aren't supercars with more power.
A Ferrari is an aluminum-monocoque supercar. A Senna is a structural-carbon hypercar. The difference is not a specification on a brochure — it's a completely different engineering discipline, with completely different service requirements. You cannot hang a carbon-monocoque hypercar on a lift by its sills. You cannot torque a suspension pickup into the tub using generic torque specs. You cannot treat a crash repair as a body-shop problem.
Every technician who works on modern hypercars has to be retrained from a supercar background. Elena came to us from McLaren Special Operations in Woking specifically because hypercar work is a small specialty that takes years to build correctly. We have two Pagani clients in Palm Beach County and a growing McLaren book — every one of them gets Elena's hands.
"The monocoque is the car. Everything else bolts to it. When you understand that, you understand why servicing a hypercar requires a different discipline than servicing a supercar."
From MP4-12C to Senna to Artura.
Complete coverage of modern McLaren production: 12C, 650S, 675LT, 540C, 570S, 570GT, 600LT, 620R, 720S, 750S, GT, Artura, Speedtail, Senna (and Senna GTR), P1, Elva, Sabre, W1. Our MSO (McLaren Special Operations) certification lets us perform factory-level diagnostics and coordinate any work that requires Woking consultation.
Modern McLarens share a common architecture — the MonoCell and MonoCage carbon tubs, the 3.8L and 4.0L twin-turbo V8 (M838T and M840T), the seven-speed SSG transmission, and the ProActive Chassis Control suspension. Elena has rebuilt every component on these cars. Our work includes everything from routine annual service on a 720S to full monocoque inspection on a post-accident Senna before structural approval from Woking.

Two Huayras, one Utopia.
We serve two Pagani clients in Palm Beach County — a 2014 Huayra Coupe in Manalapan and a 2023 Utopia in Palm Beach. Both cars are under our factory-authorized service arrangement, meaning all scheduled work, fluid changes, and diagnostic procedures are performed at our facility with periodic factory-engineer visits from Modena for major milestones.
Pagani work is unlike any other marque. The AMG-built twin-turbo V12 shares components with the SL65 Black but with Pagani-specific calibration. The carbo-titanium monocoque (a proprietary material blend) requires its own inspection protocol. The bespoke interior (every surface individually commissioned) requires Modena coordination for any replacement. Pagani service is accordingly longer, more expensive, and more documented than any other car in our shop — and appropriately so for a car of this caliber.

Four jobs only we do in this region.
These are the hypercar-specific jobs that require certifications, tooling, or factory relationships that no other shop in Palm Beach County currently holds. When a 720S crashes or a Huayra needs a major, it ends up here.
McLaren MonoCell / MonoCage inspection
Post-incident or pre-purchase inspection of the carbon-composite monocoque. Ultrasonic inspection at critical pickup points, borescope examination of the tub's internal structures, coupon-sample testing if delamination is suspected, comprehensive written report for insurance or pre-purchase evaluation. Only MSO-certified technicians are authorized to perform this work in the US.
> ULTRASONIC · BORESCOPE · TUV CERT · MSO PROTOCOLPagani major service (Modena liaison)
Full authorized Pagani major service with Modena factory oversight. We perform the work, the factory audits via documentation and periodic on-site visits. Every Pagani major service on our floor receives a factory-signed service certificate that travels with the car. One of only four such arrangements in the southeast US.
> PAGANI AUTH · MODENA AUDIT · FACTORY CERTIFICATEMcLaren Ultimate Series factory-scheduled service
Senna, Speedtail, Elva, Sabre, P1, W1. Each of these cars has a factory-prescribed service protocol that differs significantly from the Super Series cars. We perform the work in-facility with MSO consultation; for major components (ignition, fuel system, driveline), parts are shipped direct from Woking to us with factory-supervised installation protocols.
> MSO CONSULT · WOKING PARTS · SUPERVISED INSTALLCarbon body panel coordination
Minor carbon-panel damage from road-debris strikes or low-speed incidents. We coordinate with an FAA-certified composite-repair facility in Fort Lauderdale for structural repairs, and perform in-facility cosmetic work (clear-coat refresh, carbon-weave preservation, PPF repair) when damage is surface-only. Full documentation maintained for insurance and eventual resale.

These are the jobs that come through Elena's bench most often. Hypercar pricing inherently skews high — but the cars and the work reflect it.
McLaren annual minor service
Annual service across all modern McLaren road cars. OEM synthetic oil (factory-spec Mobil 1 FS X2), OEM filter, cabin and engine air filters, brake fluid inspection and top-up, tire rotation with torque verification, 80-point inspection, MSO-level diagnostic scan, ProActive Chassis Control calibration verification.

Every hypercar here goes across Elena's bench.
Dr. Elena Ruiz holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from Imperial College London and spent seven years at McLaren Special Operations in Woking before joining Apex in 2020. She is the only technician in Palm Beach County currently holding MSO certification and the only Pagani-authorized service technician between Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.
Her diagnostic specialty is fault-tracing on modern carbon-composite hypercars where the failure signature is ambiguous — the jobs that leave other shops running hourly diagnostic without resolution. If we have a car that nobody else can diagnose, it ends up on Elena's bench. She also holds TÜV composite-material credentials, which matters because very few technicians in North America are formally credentialed on the materials these cars are actually built from.

A few honest observations for hypercar owners.
On 12C and 650S fuel pumps.
The original MP4-12C and first-generation 650S share a fuel-pump assembly that has a known service interval around 40,000-50,000 miles. The symptom before failure is often a rough cold start or extended crank time. If you have a first-generation Super Series McLaren and you've owned it for more than three years, either look at the service records or budget $3,000 for the proactive replacement. The alternative is a roadside failure that will damage the injection system.
On buying a Senna.
If you're considering a used Senna — monocoque inspection is non-negotiable. These cars were bought by people who bought them to drive, and a meaningful percentage of the 500 produced have had at least one incident. Most incidents are minor cosmetic damage. Some are not. The tub is not easily inspected from the outside. $4,200 for a proper MSO-level ultrasonic inspection is the cheapest money you'll spend on a car of this caliber.
On Artura hybrids.
The Artura is the first volume-production hybrid McLaren and had some early software issues that were resolved via factory updates by mid-2023. If you have an early build Artura (pre-mid-2023), verify the current software version on all modules — we can do this in 30 minutes on MSO. Post-mid-2023 cars are largely free of the early issues and are frankly wonderful to drive.
On owning a Pagani.
The single most important thing to understand about Pagani ownership: the factory is your actual service provider, and we are their hands in North America. Do not send your Pagani anywhere else for service, even a dealer for another marque. The carbo-titanium monocoque, the bespoke interior specifications, the factory-documented service history — these are all systems that require factory coordination to preserve. Pagani values move dramatically based on service provenance. Your Huayra or Utopia needs a signed factory certificate for every major service. We make sure it gets one.
Let's talk about your car.
Whether it's McLaren scheduled service, a Pagani annual, a monocoque inspection, or an Ultimate Series pre-purchase — send us a note and Elena will reach out personally.
